The 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Business Educators Australasia Inc. (BEA) will be held on Friday 19 June 2026 at 3:30pm.

Special Business: Transfer of Registration and Adoption of New Constitution
The Council advises members that it will propose a series of resolutions at the Annual General Meeting to transition Business Educators Australasia Incorporated to a public company limited by guarantee under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
This transition is intended to modernise the organisation’s governance framework, align it with contemporary national structures, and support its ongoing growth and operations.
In accordance with the Associations Incorporation Act 1991 (ACT) and the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), Resolutions 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3 will be put to members as special resolutions, each requiring at least 75 per cent of votes cast by members present and voting to pass.
Members should note that Resolutions 7.2, 7.3 and 7.4 are conditional upon Resolution 7.1 being passed. If Resolution 7.1 is not passed, the subsequent resolutions will not be put to the meeting.
Copies of the proposed Constitution and an explanatory note outlining key changes have been circulated to members.
Nominations: Office Bearers
Nominations are now open for office-bearers of the association. Only elected or appointed Councillors from members (affiliated associations) are eligible to nominate and endorse nominations.
Nominations of candidates for election as office-bearers of the BEA may be made in writing, signed by 2 councillors of the BEA and accompanied by written consent of the candidate (which may be endorsed on the nomination form), a curriculum vitae and a candidate statement. Refer to the Part IV 20(3) of the BEA Constitution for details on the nomination and election process.
